We are planning to take all the children in KS2 on our annual end of year picnic walk to ‘The Pinnacles’ on Monday 17th July.
Please can you ensure your child has suitable walking shoes or boots and a waterproof jacket. Children can come to school in tracksuit bottoms/shorts and their school sweatshirt. Please ensure your child has applied sunscreen before school if the weather is warm. A sunhat or cap may be worn. If the weather is bad, the walk may not take place.
Children will need to bring a healthy packed lunch and a drink in a small rucksack. If your child has a free school meal, a packed lunch will be provided but we ask that your child brings a rucksack in which to carry it.
We will need lots of volunteers to help on the day. Any parents/grandparents who are available to help would be very welcome to join us. We will be leaving school at 10.00am and returning in time for the end of the school day.
Permission for this event is covered by the global consent form for local visits. However, if you do not wish for your child to take part, please notify us in writing as soon as possible so that we can plan provision for them in school on that day.
