Children in Need 2017

Updated...

On Friday 17th November 2017, children and staff at Sutton in Craven CP School took part in a fun filled day to raise money for Children in Need. Children dressed in clothes to show their dreams for the future and were invited to join in apple bobbing, penalty shootouts, treasure trails and colouring competitions. We held a raffle and a bun sale and classes worked together to create their own Pudsey Bear. We finished the day laughing and cheering as we watched the teachers squirm as they took part in our annual ‘I’m a teacher, get me out of here’ eating trial.

Thanks to our supportive parents, fabulous children and brave staff, we were able to make memories as well as raising an outstanding £887.16 for Children in Need.

A note from the Fundraising Family…

The official Children in Need dress theme this year is ‘Spots’ but we feel that we have done this a lot and want to make our own dress theme linked to Children in Need. We came up with two ideas and asked children in school which one they liked the best. The winner was...

What do you want to be in the future? We think that not all children have the opportunities or abilities to be able to achieve their dream job, Children in Need can support them to realise their dreams. We can raise money for them by dressing up as a person who does our own dream job.

We also decided to run...

  • Penalty shootout
  • Apple bobbing
  • Bun and wristband sale
  • Drawing competition
  • Pudsey bear treasure trail
  • Best Outfit

And our favourite...

  • I’m a teacher, get me out of here! (We decided that we would like this to be an eating trial!)

We are looking forward to a day of fun!

With love from Pudsey
