We will ‘Race for Life’:

The Great Sutton CP 2022 Race for Life is happening tomorrow Friday 13th May 2022!
We want everyone to be, ‘in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing’ so have prepared some last minute reminders …
- Children should come to school wearing pink or blue and appropriate running shoes.
- Children should come to school wearing sun cream (no cream in school please) and bring a sun hat and named water bottle.
- There will be a briefing for all children tomorrow morning in school so that they know what to expect.
- Staff have all attended a briefing this week.
- Adult participants (parents’/family members) who have requested to take part MUST attend the pre start briefing at 1:15pm in the school hall. Unfortunately if you don’t attend you won’t be able to take part.
- Having considered the size and nature of the event, we would like to respectfully request that dogs are not brought to the event. We have a large number of people attending and could cause your dog to feel overwhelmed/anxious. We also have a number of children who are frightened of dogs. Small children and excited dogs are not a good combination.
- There will be the opportunity for children to purchase snacks from a limited tuck shop. We suggest an amount of no more that 50p – loose change would be great if possible. Money must be handed to their teacher in a clearly named purse/envelope which teachers will keep safe until after the event. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.
- Any child who remains under the supervision of school during the event can be collected under the normal school procedure at 3:30pm.
