Y3 and Y4 Perform 'The Tempest' Mar 18

Friday, 16 March, 2018 - 18:00

Years 3 & 4 will be performing “The Tempest” at Glusburn Institute on Friday 16th March.

'Castaways and magic! Our musical version of Shakespeare’s classic tale, written specifically for KS2 Primary children to perform.

Opening with a dramatic shipwreck, the story is set on Prospero’s island, where he lives with his daughter Miranda.

But Prospero, a powerful magician, is really the outcast Duke of Milan, and he is plotting revenge on his evil brother…

Also wandering the isle are the rebellious slave Caliban and the loyal sprite Ariel; a group of shipwrecked noblemen; two hilarious bungling servants; handsome Prince Ferdinand; and the Spirits, always ready to sing a song or tell a story, or laugh at the soppy lovers.'

Doors will open at 6.15pm for children and their families; the performance will start at 6.30pm.

There are enough seats in the venue for each child to have three tickets. Tickets cost £1 each.
