Early Excellence are delighted to be working in partnership with Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School to offer a range of inspirational bitesize and full day training sessions for Heads, Senior Leaders, EYFS teachers and support staff to challenge and inform teaching, practice and provision in the EYFS.

Course description

The gender gap is a much-discussed topic across the education sector. Early years practitioners often come across the same problems; with boys not appearing to fully engage in an adult led activities or reluctant to use all experiences provided to support their learning. It is critical that we plan meaningful and challenging experiences that connect with all children’s passions and spark their imaginations!

This bitesize session will explore theories behind young children’s development and how these relate specifically to boys. Participants will consider how we can address these issues in imaginative and practical ways and there will be a particular focus on boys and writing.
