Jack started Karate at the age of 5 training with Sensi Paul Newby (assistant England Coach) in Crosshills. He trains 3 times a week and is totally dedicated to the sports. Jack worked through his coloured belts to eventually get his black belt in March 2014 at just 8 years old.
He started competing at the age of 6 and has won numerous trophies and medals at association and national level (detailed below).
A couple of weeks ago Jack was selected by the regional coach to start to train with the official England Karate team at their official squad training sessions. He won’t be able to fight for his country until he is 14 but his coach thinks it will benefit him to start and get used to the training now and with a hope for him to become part of the England team in the future.
He works really hard at the sport and always puts in 100% effort at training and this hard work has paid off for him as he is now getting the rewards.
