In Literacy we wrote stories, instructions, poems and recounts. We are now great at writing 2A and LIST sentences and using connectives in our sentences. We worked really hard in Numeracy too, learning all about addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as well as shape, measures and data handling.
This term in our topic work we learnt about our family history by talking to our parents and grandparents about life when they were children. We also constructed our own family tree and compiled a Family Album of photographs and memories. In the second half of the term we learnt lots about Life and Living Processes. We found out about different types of animals and plants. We had a super walk in the park exploring living and non-living things. Each child presented information about an animal that they had researched at home with their families. Ms McKenney filmed us! In groups we made a 3D landscape of Sutton in Craven and produced portraits using different media.
We have all made terrific progress in Reading, Writing and Maths. Ms McKenney is delighted with us and we are very proud of ourselves. We really are super learners!!
