What's been happening this term?

Wow, what a busy term!

The children settled in really quickly and are growing in confidence and independence every day.

Here's what we've done:

  • Designed, organised and created our own train station (Sutton Station) in the classroom
  • We made spells in our witches cave (designed by the children)
  • Had Broomstick flying lessons
  • Learnt LOTS of sounds (we know the Jolly Phonics actions and can read and write them) in Phonics
  • We are becoming really confident with numbers. We've even started adding!
  • Made dens outside
  • Used real tools to take broken computers, DVD players and radios to pieces (and are now planning what we will do next with the parts)
  • Played in all weathers - sunshine, rain, wind, ice
  • Planted apple seeds
  • Went fishing with buckets over the wall
  • Made pictures with Autumn leaves
  • Learnt about Diwali (made Diva lamps and Rangoli patterns)
  • Had fun dressing up for Children in Need
  • Had a visit from PC Perkins to help us find Mikey the Monkey
  • Presented a class assembly for parents
  • Put on a Christmas Nativity

No wonder we're exhausted!
