International pop group, The Gypsy Queens visits Sutton CP School!
The Gypsy Queens, who have performed for the likes of Elton John, Rod Stewart and the Royal Family surprised pupils at Sutton CP School on Wednesday 5th June. The five-piece male group are from all around the world and Year 6 pupils had been trying to answer the question ‘Where is home?’ They wrote to the band members to ask them about their homes. So impressed by the children’s work were the band, they decided to deliver their thanks personally. Year 6 teacher, Claire Dunkley, said “It was amazing; the children were up on their feet dancing and showed The Gypsy Queens their appreciation with cheers and rapturous applause.” The band is on the bill to play Glastonbury and the Isle of Wright festival later this year.
