7 May 15 - Sutton CP goes to the polls!

In May 15 Sutton CP was plunged into election fever along with the rest of the UK.

Y3 and Y4 formed ‘parties’ and wrote their manifestos setting out plans for a better world.  Have a look at the slides above to see their ideas. As all around the UK candidates sought to persuade the electorate to vote the children of Sutton CP did the same. Posters appears around school and assemblies were held giving candidates and their supporters the chance to answer questions on their ideas. As May 7 drew near voting slips were prepared and returning officers appointed before the school community ‘went to the vote.’ In a close run, but nevertheless good natured contest Dylan, and the Red Panda Party, won the election by a small majority of just nine votes. Well done everyone – the future of the UK is safe with you!
