Area Maths Competition - Apr 16

Four Y3 children and four Y4 children attended the annual maths competition at South Craven School.
Here is a report written by the year three children...

'We went to South Craven and there was maths challenges. There were about nine local primary schools. We did challenges including a warm up, doing warmest and coldest.

The challenges were word problems, relay hexagon and a scaffold made out of straws, sellatape and a cup.
Chelsea and Nimmy helped us do the four activities including the warm up.

Finally we had the results. There were only five left going down and it was either Glusburn or Sutton CP. We came second by only one point. If we got two more points we would have won.

We all enjoyed it and we were all very proud of ourselves. Then we went home.'
