Night of 1000 Stars - Feb 16

**** Update ****

Over 100 friends and family packed the school hall on Thursday11 Feb 16 and were treated to the amazing range of talents of children from YR to Y6. There were some truly special and unforgettable moments—too frequent to mention. The evening, organised  by Ms Dunkley and Miss Baldwin, served as the perfect antidote to the challenges of the first half term of 2016. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way.

Calling all singers, dancers, musicians and artists!  Calling all talented pupils and parents!

We are delighted to let you know about another of our whole school events - ‘Night of 1000 Stars’ – which will be held in our school hall on Thursday 11th February.

You may remember a similar event last year, Night Of The Proms, which was a hugely enjoyable and successful evening which celebrated our pupils’ diverse musical talents.

This year, we would like to showcase a wider range of  talents in an equally  exciting evening to include music, dance, art and drama.  Of course, if you have a ‘talent’ which fits in a different category, you are more than welcome to come along and audition for a place in the event!

If you have a shining talent and you would like to take part in the event, please complete and return the slip on the letter attached.  Then, make sure you have practised your contribution and are ready to audition in front of your class during the week commencing Monday 25th January.  The most impressive auditions from each class will be selected for performing on the night.  Make sure you have a well-rehearsed entry and are able to attend the event - only the best will impress the judges!  Successful entries will be notified by Friday 29th January.

And one final starry twist…

In this year’s event, we would also like to invite adults to showcase their talents!  Please could any Mums, Dads or other relatives who are willing to perform in our ‘Night of 1000 Stars’ indicate their willingness on the form attached and return it to school as soon as possible.  We regret that adult places in the event are limited and chosen entries will be notified as above.

I thank you all in advance and look forward to receiving many exciting entries and auditions.
