KS2 Walk to Pinnacles July 2018

After a blisteringly hot couple of weeks we considered ourselves lucky to have a cooler day on Monday 16th July for our annual KS2 walk to the Pinnacles.

Children from Y3 - Y6 set off from the school playground accompanied by staff and were also joined by lots of family members. After a long uphill climb they were rewarded by a break in the clouds when they reached the top rewarding everyone with  a view of Sutton in Craven and surrounding villages. Following a chance to rest and enjoy a picnic with friends they retraced their steps, this time downhill, to arrive back in school just in time for afternoon break.

This annual walk  has become a a tradition in our school and signals the beginning of the the last week of the summer term. It provides children with happy memories  as well as a great view of the beautiful surrounding in which we are are lucky enough to live and learn!

Many thanks to Mrs Whitehead who oversees the walk ever year and also to the staff and families who accompanied the children.
