School Closure - Friday 2 March 2018

Following a risk assessment this  morning  SCHOOL WILL REMAIN CLOSED today.

As always when taking this difficult decision we  base it on the safety and wellbeing of our school family.  An amber weather warning for heavy snow is still in place with routes  around the village  reported to be  being icy and very windy.  Stay safe and warm

The latest communication from our Met Office adviser is as follows
high winds and drifting snow are now starting to cause some serious problems across many parts of Yorkshire and NE England. With further snowfall for some of us over the next 2 or 3 days and the continuing strong winds, we can expect to see some communities becoming inaccessible, with severe impacts on the transport network. Power supply problems may also occur as a result of the extreme conditions.
