Marking the Armistice our children, staff and governors again joined children from Glusburn and Sutton CE School and members of the public at 11 oclcock on Monday 11th November. We always spend time preparing our children for this event and explaining the solemnity and behaviour needed in order to show due respect. We remind them that of the names on the village cenotaph some will have attended our school as children and that past pupils and indeed current parents continue to serve and protect us. Our children once again did us proud.
Hannah and Jacob, the oldest girl and boy in school laid a wreath on behalf of us all—this years message was written by Sophie. Mia and Matthew reda some of the names on the Sutton cenotaph.
