#Let Them Play

Girls Football

This Wed 9th March was a national day for girls’ football organised by the FA.  Their challenge was to get as many girls playing football as possible and to make access to football equal for girls by 2024.  We took part by organising lunchtime differently, with the KS2 girls all going to the MUPA together before they swapped with the boys.  In KS1 PE the girls also had a chance to play football.

Many of the girls loved the opportunity to play each other without the boys around.  One said, “It was great as everyone played well together and we all had fun.”

It was such a success that we are going to carry on having split use of the MUPA on Wednesdays until the end of term.
