Welcome to Y5 which is taught by Mrs Whitehead supported by Miss Kerr. Miss Ibbotson also teaches in Y5.
Summer Term
We are looking forward to many exciting activities, this term, in Year Five.
In the morning our first job is to go to the park and do our daily run/walk around the park.
Then we are back into class for Handwriting/Spelling, Maths, Writing and Guided Reading.
We are using the White Rose Maths scheme in school this year in our Maths lessons.
Theme
Our class book for this term is "Beetle Boy" by Kiran Millwood Hargrave.
Our class topic for this term is "The History of Our School". Our Science topics are "Earth and Space" and then "Living Things and their Habitats".
PE
PE will be on Tuesday afternoons this term.
Please ensure you are wearing a white T shirt, black shorts/track suits and trainers on Tuesday.
Outdoor Learning
This will take place on Thursday afternoons. You can come to school wearing your PE kit. Please bring suitable shoes or wellies to change into.
Home Learning
Home Learning will be set on Fridays.
