Welcome to Y5 which is taught by Mrs Whitehead supported by Miss Ibbotson and Miss Dwyer.
We are looking forward to many exciting activities, this term, in Year Five.
In the morning our first job is to go to the park and run our daily kilometre. We are keeping a careful check on how many kms we run over the term.
Then we are back into class for handwriting/spelling, maths, writing and guided reading.
We have the maths scheme in school called "Maths, No Problem". We will be continuing to use this in our maths lessons.
Our class book will be “Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. This is a novel about a boy who becomes stranded in the Canadian wilderness.
This will link to our class theme where we will compare and contrast our local area to Canada.
PE will be on Wednesday and Friday afternoons this term.
Please ensure you are wearing a white T shirt, black shorts/track suits and trainers on these days.
Earrings are not allowed to be worn during PE sessions. Please remove earrings or bring tape from home to cover them.
Home Learning will be set on Google Classroom.
