We are thrilled to let you know that our school has successfully achieved Arts mark!
Arts mark is Arts Council England’s flagship programme to enable schools and other organisations to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their arts and cultural provision. It is a nationally recognised award which demonstrates excellence in arts and cultural provision. An arts mark assessor spent a morning in school meeting with Ms Dunkley (who led the project) and Mr Kirby, one of our Governors, and groups of children. She commented that;
‘You exceed the criteria and offer a wide range of art forms. Art clearly has a strong place in your curriculum, and drama as a cross curricular tool is often used too. This was all the more evident when I visited the school as the arts clearly permeate every part of the curriculum across the year groups and the work the school has done in developing these areas is to be commended.’
