What an amazing term we had!
The Year 6s have worked super hard in what has been a fun-filled, action-packed and hectic term!
In brief...here are some of the things we have achieved, participated in and enjoyed during our first term as Year 6 pupils!
- Remembrance Day activities - including 'Poppy canvas art' and making ceramic poppies with James Oughtibridge (ceramicist).
- Fallen Fields topic - Tommy Teaches workshop and visits from one of our pupil's grandfathers.
- Bewerley park residential.
- Cinderella Panto.
- 'Christmas 1914' - our incredible production!
- Weekly visits from Jessica from The Children's Society.
- First Aid sessions led by Alison Way
- Becoming Year 6 Leaders - positions of responsibility!
- Class Assemblies based around the Big Question 'Is It Ever Right To Fight?' We based our assembly on Adolf Hitler!
- Christingle.
- Music with Mrs Turvey.
- Dance sessions with South Craven staff.
- All of us have also made pleasing progress in Reading, Writing and Numeracy!
