Year Three Autumn Term 2014

The children in year three enjoyed a busy autumn term in school.

WWI

We enjoyed learning about WWI and found out more about the topic by our visit to the Royal Armouries museum in Leeds.

We appreciated the impact of different visitors such as Mr Hodgson and Tommy Teaches coming into school to help us find out more about the topic.

We ended the theme with a special day of remembrance on the 11th of November.

Misty Mountains and Outdoor Learning

In the second half of the term we learned about the theme of," Misty Mountains". We worked with year four and included lots of outdoor learning in the hills around where we live. We had fun, geocaching, using QI codes to complete a mountain quiz and  using Mr Horton's giant map of Europe to find out about mountain ranges.

We are looking forward to lots of creative art work this term as we work towards our class art exhibition.
