On Thursday 23rd November the school were very pleased to welcome Seema Buttoo, a Hindu faith tutor, to deliver a special assembly about Diwali. Seema told all the children about the preparations she makes for Diwali in her home and why it is such a special festival for Hindus and Sikhs. The children were able to share what they had already learned about Diwali and show some of the rangoli patterns and diva lamps that they had made in class. Seema also explained the origins of the Diwali festival and the story of Rama and Sita.
