More Sporting Success

It has been an amazing summer of sporting success for Sutton CP School.

On Monday 22nd May our year 5 & 6 girls cricket team took part in a tournament at Skipton Cricket Club. Our girls showed great cricket skills and a wonderful attitude. A great day was had by all.

On Monday 5th June we hosted our KS2 Intra Class rounders tournament in Sutton Park. All children in KS2 had the chance to play 5 competitive matches against their peers. As always, the children were enthusiastic, energetic and had lots of fun.

On Wednesday 7th June our year 3/4 and 5/6 teams took part in the South Craven Rounders Tournament. It was a great day, the sun was shining and after all their practice and commitment at lunchtimes, it was finally our children’s turn to demonstrate their amazing skills at playing this fun game. And oh boy did our children deliver - both teams not only won the tournament in their age group, but they won all the matches played against other schools. It was absolutely AMAZING! The game understanding, team-work, support offered to one another and pure joy of the game was undeniable. Even South Craven PE Lead commented on the high quality of the skill our children had - what a great compliment.

Well done Team Sutton!!!
