Year 3 visit to Cliffe Castle

Year 3 had a fantastic visit to Cliffe Castle recently to experience all things Ancient Egyptian! The children travelled on the service bus to Keighley, which was an adventure in itself, and once there they immersed themselves in the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt. They learned how to mummify a body – and shared this in great detail on their return to school! – as well as exploring the wonderful Egyptian artefacts and exhibits at the museum. The children's curiosity, enthusiasm and engagement throughout the day were absolutely brilliant to see. Many thanks to the staff at Cliffe Castle for providing such an enriching and memorable experience, and to the Sutton team who made this trip possible through their careful planning and organisation. A huge thank you to the Year 3 children for bringing such curiosity and energy to their learning – this is what makes our job such a privilege. What a wonderful way to bring history to life!
