Today we paid our respects for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The whole school attended a ceremony at Sutton Cenotaph, along with other local primary schools and members of the local community. We are very proud of all of our fabulous children for showing their utmost respect, throughout the whole service.

In Reception we have been busy learning all about Bonfire Night. We have been firefighters, created firework art and loved the chocolate sparklers! We welcomed our local PCSO's, Tina and Alice, to talk about bonfire safety and keeping safe in the dark evenings. Well done everyone, what a fabulous week!

Our Reception class had a wonderful treat when they welcomed Jed from Craven Museum to teach them all about homes from the past. The children were absolutely fascinated as they explored a collection of historical household objects, including a washboard, kettle and candlestick, whilst learning how people used these items in their daily lives long ago. Well done, Reception, you were a credit to the school and we're so pleased you enjoyed this enriching experience!
