Year 3

Welcome to Year Three which is taught by Miss Baldwin (Monday, Tuesday) and Miss Silver (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) supported by Mrs Richardson. 

 

Autumn Term 1

We are looking forward to many exciting activities, this term, in Year Three.

 

We start the day with our spellings learning and follow this daily run/walk to support mental health and wellbeing and physical health. Then we are back into class for Maths, Hand Writing, Writing and Guided Reading.

We use the White Rose Maths scheme in our Maths lessons.

 

This half term we are reading One Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith.

 

PE

PE will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this term.

Please ensure you are wearing a white T shirt, black shorts/tracksuit trousers and trainers on Mondays.

 

Outdoor Learning

This will take place on Monday afternoons. You can come to school wearing your PE kit. Please bring suitable shoes or wellies to change into and appropriate clothing.

 

Home Learning

Weekly spellings following the Purple Mash scheme, with a quiz each Friday. The terms spellings have been sent home for you to support your child at home with practice of these, and we also practise these daily in class. A home learning overview for the autumn term has been added to Google Classroom and a paper copy has been provided.
