Year 5

Welcome to Y5 which is taught by Mrs Whitehead supported by Mrs Kerr. Miss Ibbotson also teaches in Y5.

Spring Term

We are looking forward to many exciting activities, this term, in Year Five.

​

In the morning our first job is to go to the park and do our daily run/walk around the park. 

Then we are back into class for Handwriting/Spelling, Maths, Writing and Guided Reading.

We use the White Rose Maths scheme in our Maths lessons.

​

 

This half term we are reading, "The House with Chicken Legs" by Sophie Anderson

Our class topic for this term is "Rainforests". Our Science topic is "Earth and Space".

​

 

PE

PE will be on Wednesday afternoons this term.

Please ensure you are wearing a white T shirt, black shorts/tracksuit trousers and trainers on Wednesdays.

 

Outdoor Learning

This will take place on Thursday afternoons. You can come to school wearing your PE kit. Please bring suitable shoes or wellies to change into.

 

Home Learning

Home Learning will be set on Fridays.
