Q: Why have you given time slots?
A: We found last term that if parents arrive too early the waiting space is used up and it is harder to manage the social distancing. Also some children become restless and do not stay with their adult. Please make sure you stick within the 10 minute window whenever possible.
Q: I have more than one sibling with the same drop off time. Which order shall I drop them off?
A: If you have siblings with the same drop off time it is probably best to drop them off in age order with the oldest first. Collection should be the other way around: youngest then oldest.
Q: I have siblings with different drop off times.
A: Please drop off the siblings with the earlier time as late as possible within their time slot and then wait at the designated place for the drop off of the pupil with the later slot. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children arriving earlier than their time slot or leaving later than their designated slot.
Q: What will be in place to establish gaps in learning?
A: Within the first few weeks staff will be assessing where there are any key gaps in learning and putting in place pupil centered strategies to address these. This assessment may be "in the moment" or more formal.
Q: What will be done to address mental health and well being?
A: Our pupils mental health and well being is a top priority to us and we acknowledge that some pupils will find settling down to a school routine challenging. Our timetable will have more flexibility and there will be opportunities each day to discuss and address well being. Timing of sessions will take account of this and activities that promote resilience and well being will be incorporated. Our first half term topic, Inside Out, has a specific wellbeing focus.
Q: Will there be Friday assemblies?
A: No, unfortunately at the time being we are unable to have any assemblies or invite parents into school for events.
