Ms Claire Dunkley

Teacher

My Story

I have been a teacher of Key Stage 2 pupils for 24 years after graduating with a degree in English Literature and

a PGCE in Primary Teaching. I am currently in my fourteenth year as a member of the teaching staff at Sutton CP

School and I am very proud to be part of such a warm, thriving, progressive and exciting school community, where

our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. At present I teach our wonderful Year 6 class; I am enjoying seeing

our learners grow and I have particular interests in Arts and Literacy.

I am the happy mother of one daughter who was once a pupil of our school and loved every minute of it! She is

now about to embark on university life and enjoy all of the opportunities it presents to her. I believe her love for

learning started at Sutton CP School. Outside of school, you are likely to find me in the great outdoors, gardening, engaged in a craft/DIY project of some form or enjoying the French way of life.
